The door catches on the frame, the window will not close tightly, the handle has gone loose. In most cases you do not need a new door or window — you need an adjustment and a decent seal. It is an hour's work that tends to get put off for years.

Frequently asked questions
Why is the window draughty in winter?
Usually the seal, or the window has been left in its summer setting. We set the compression to winter and replace the seal if it has gone hard.
Can the door be repaired, or do we need a new one?
Usually it can be repaired. Adjusting the hinges and checking the frame solves most catching doors. A new one is needed when the leaf has swollen with damp or the frame has worked loose.
How much does replacing a lock cost?
Lock replacement is charged by the hour: €45 for the call-out with the first hour, €39 for each hour after that. One lock is usually replaced within the first hour. We tell you in advance which lock case fits your door, so you buy the right one.
Do you fit new interior doors?
Yes, complete with frame and architraves. Send the opening measurements or a photo and we will give you a price and a date.
